DELPHI 6 ADO with dbGo/COM Programming

Description
This advanced course covers Delphi COM Programming in depth. As such it is an invaluable opportunity to get ahead in writing COM applications, automation servers and clients, MTS applications and laying the essential groundwork for N-Tier applications.

ActiveX Data Objects (ADO) is Microsoft's data access layer for relational databases, spreadsheets, email, documents, graphics and the Internet. As such ADO is a direct replacement for the BDE. Delphi's support for ADO is likely to increase with each new release of Delphi. The Delphi ADO course is a comprehensive coverage of using ADO in Delphi. No prior knowledge of ADO is assumed. The course covers the ADOExpress components, ADO Transaction Processing, Batch Updates, Disconnected Recordsets, Recordset Persistence and more.

This course is hands-on with practical exercises throughout. We provide you with individual PC’s so that you are able to work on your own. Class sizes are kept small so that you will receive personal attention. You will take away extensive printed and disk-based course material, which will be of ongoing use to you in your work.

Prerequisites
Attendees should have a thorough knowledge of Delphi, Object Oriented Programming, basic knowledge of either TTable and/or TQuery, TDataSource, data aware components, SQL and at least one database engine (e.g. Paradox, Access, SQL Server, Oracle, InterBase).
