APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT WITH DELPHI 6
Description
This course is designed to ensure that Delphi 6 Client/Server developers
have an understanding of, and can successfully implement, Delphi 6 Client/Server
in a distributed computing environment. The courseware covers the Delphi
6 Client/Server fundamental concepts of Delphi application development,
including IDE, Pascal Language basics, debugging, event-driven programming,
database tasks, the Borland Database Engine, and database tools. The bulk
of the course highlights and teaches concepts of Delphi 6 Client/Server
application, development, including database components, working with
SQL, migration to Client/Server, and exception handling.

Intended Audience
The course is targeted at those who may be new to Delphi 6 Client/Server, but who have experience with a visual development tool.
Course Prerequisites
A working knowledge of Windows and experience in programming some high-level
language are imperative. Experience in programming applications for Local
Area Networks and a working knowledge of another Windows 4th generation
database programming platforms (e.g.Visual Basic, PowerBuilder) is recommended.
We encourage learners to also have experience developing applications
for one of the following SQL database servers: InterBase 4.x/5.x, Microsoft
SQL Server, Sybase, Oracle, Informix, or an ODBC, supported server.
