APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT WITH C++BUILDER 5
Description
This course is designed to ensure that C++Builder Client/Server developers
have an understanding of, and can successfully implement, C++Builder Client/Server
applications in a distributed computing environment. The courseware covers
the C++Builder Client/Server fundamental concepts of application development,
including IDE, C++ Language enhancements, the VCL application framework,
debugging, event-driven programming, database tasks, the Borland Database
Engine, and database tools. The bulk of the course highlights and teaches
concepts of C++Builder Client/Server application development, including
database components, working with SQL, migration to Client/Server, VCL
exception handling, transaction processing and cached updates. Additional

Intended Audience
The course is targeted at those who may be new to C++Builder Client/Server,
but who have experience with C++.
Prerequisites
A working knowledge of Windows and C++ is imperative. Experience in programming applications for Local Area Networks and a working knowledge of another Windows 4th generation database programming platform (e.g., Delphi, Visual Basic, PowerBuilder) is recommended. We encourage learners to also have experience developing applications for one of the following SQL database servers: InterBase 3.3/4.0, Microsoft SQL Server, Sybase, Oracle, Informix, or an ODBC, supported server.
