Problems SCHEMA CACHE after installing V3.5 BDE/SQL LINKS Date: 12/10/96 9:09am Customer report: I've recently installed the new SQL-Links and now my application doesn't run anymore. I've reinstalled a fresh copy of Delphi 2..01 and then put just the SQL-Links on it and it still crashes. Here's how it crashes, - Open a new application - Drop a TDatabase and connect it to the server (mine's MS-SQL). Set DatabaseName to the EXACT same name as the database on the server. - Drop a TTable connected to the TDatabase. Open a table with a TEXT field in it. - CRASH!!! ============= I've fooled around with this some more and traced it to the schema cache files. When I deleted all of them and then re-started Delphi, everything worked fine. TIP: If you install the new SQL-Links, delete all of your schema cache files afterwards just to be safe...
