DELPHI 2.0 CLIENT SERVER QUICK INFO 32 bit SQL Links Native Drivers: Please note: 32bit client connections to any of the supported servers using either the Borland SQL Links or third party ODBC drivers will require 32bit versions of the server vendors client software. -Borland Interbase 4.x -Sybase 4.x / 10.x / 11.x (CTLIB/Open Client support in SQL Links 3.5 and higher) -MS SQL Server 6.x -Oracle 7.x -Informix (SQL Links v3.5 and higher) -IBM DB/2 (SQL Links v3.5 and higher) -BDE 3.x and higher does not use 16bit Borland SQL Links/third party ODBC drivers and BDE16 2.5 does not use 32bit Borland SQL Links/third party ODBC drivers. BDE32 connectivity: -Paradox -dBASE -MS Access (through MS DAO 3.0 and 3.5) -ASCII -ODBC Socket (32bit ODBC only) -BDE32 3.x and higher cannot use 16bit Borland SQL Links and third party ODBC drivers -BDE16 2.5 cannot use 32bit Borland SQL Links/third party ODBC drivers. Additional 16bit SQL Links Native drivers included w/Delphi 2.0: -Sybase System 10 CTLIB (full 16bit CTLIB client support) -IBM DB/2 using IBM's CAE (Client Application Enabler) Erratum: Delphi 2.0 Database Application Developers Guide page 119: -BDE 32 (v3.0) *does*, in fact, support multitable read only and "LIVE" result sets.
