This change was made to
benefit you, the developer. Documents on our community site have been upgraded
with many new features. You will see HTML-enriched FAQs and TIs with links and
images. The Community also has a more advanced search engine with
better-indexed documents for easier searching.
Advanced Search
To locate a TI or FAQ by its original ID number, choose the community search option or Advanced Search
and enter in the complete number in the proper case (FAQ3818C vs.
faq3818c). The trailing letter identifies the product the document was written for, B for BDE, C for C++ products, D for Delphi, and
J for JBuilder.
Alternatively, you can search using the new document ID. At the bottom of each document, you will find it's new ID. The numerical portion of an old ID
maps to its new ID by adding 15,000. Using the above example, the new ID for FAQ3818C is 18818.
Documents may also be searched by keyword, content, etc., just as with popular
search-engines.
