Borland JBuilder 6 Update 001
This software update is being provided to licensed users of Borland
JBuilder 6. Installation and use is governed by the applicable license
statement for Borland JBuilder 6.
Description
This update addresses the following problems in Borland JBuilder 6:
EJB Designer
- [125245] Bean creation is very slow
when there are a large number of beans
- [120267] The EJB Query Edit box
becomes too small to enter or edit a query
- [125039] Cannot add a business
method starting with prefix 'get' to an entity bean and expose it in the
local interface.
- [125094] Cannot create an entity
bean with Weblogic setup as a remote server.
- [124539] Stubs generated by Weblogic
for beans with relationships are not added to the project if one of the beans
has remote interfaces and the other has local interfaces and the getter/setter
for the cmr field is not exposed in the interface.
- [123181] Acknowledgment mode should
not be written out to DD for a container managed message driven bean
- [125383] Cannot expose the setter
for a field in a session bean in the remote interface.
- [125397] No support for cascade
deletes.
- [125384] Adding code to a getter
for a field and forcing a commit in the designer, moves the code above the
return statement generated by the designer.
- [123259] Does not refresh correctly
in the standalone DDEditor. After making a change in the designer and clicking
on a ddeditor node a second ddeditor root node appears and single click
no longer opens nodes.
- [124732] After adding new bean
in the standalone DDEditor CPU rises to 100% and stays there.
- [125846] Database schema provider
does not use extended properties to connect to a database.
- [125037] Removing/adding the package
qualifier for a parameter of any method in the local interface and forcing
a commit in the designer removes the method from the local interface
- [123215] Changing the field name
and type of a primary key field does not update the return type of the ejbCreate()
method in the bean source.
- [124319], [123871] Cannot import
existing EJB 2.0 source into JBuilder. The designer changes file names and
source code.
- [117672] Bean and source names
are tightly coupled. The designer does not allow the bean name to be different
from source file names.
- [117673] Bean class gets recreated
with wrong name after bean class name has been changed to another name.
- [126202] Changing the
name/return type of a cmr field in a self relationship changes the return
type to 'bean instance'. It is impossible to change this if the name of the
field is changed.
- [126204] Cannot create
a bi-directional self relationship.
- [126771] Cannot have
a method name which is identical to a cmp field name.
- [126939] If a business
method is declared with method access 'protected', the designer forces it
back to 'public'.
- [126940] Cannot have
ejbCreate methods that have a suffix.
- [127354] For methods
with a single line of code, forcing a commit in the designer removes the
code from the bean source.
General Functionality
-
[124837] Verification fails if EJB reference (local/remote) names do not
start with the prefix 'ejb'
- [126322] If your Weblogic server/domain
name is different from the default, and you add a new module to a project
after Weblogic has already been set up, right click deploy menus will still
use the default server/domain names in the generated command line.
- [126638] Jar verifier
classpath does not include library dependencies causing verification failures.
- [125855] WebSphere 4.0
AE : Cannot build a EAR group without a network connection.
- [127545] Debugger does
not stop at JSP breakpoints with Weblogic Server 6.1, SP2.
Core development fixes
- [125102] Performance issues with
JBuilder 6 dependency checker
- [125596] Refactoring does not work
for packages from editor
- [125344] JSP CodeInsight doesn't
work when manually activated
