Borland JBuilder 3.5 Samples Multilingual Update
This software patch is being provided to licensed users of Borland
JBuilder. Installation and use is governed by the applicable license
statement/limited warranty for Borland JBuilder.
This update can be used for the Foundation, Professional, and Enterprise versions of JBuilder 3.5. This update adds simplified Chinese support to the multilingual samples in JBCL and dbSwing. This update also provides a fix for bug number 85789 in the existing multilingual sample in dbSwing. When you moved the focus out of the Expiration Date field, the sample would throw an error message that couldn't be dismissed.

Downloading the new files
- Download the file for your platform:
- Windows users: Download the samples.zip file.
- Unix users: Download the samples.tar or the samples.tar.gz file.
Due to limitations of the length of directory paths allowed in a tar file, please use the GNU tar utility to unarchive the samples.tar file. The GNU tar utility is available at www.sunfreeware.com.
- Place the file directly in your \JBuilder35 directory.
Back up old files you want to
keep
- Open an explorer window for your \JBuilder35\bin directory.
- Create a new directory called "OriginalChineseSample" as a subdirectory of \JBuilder35\sample.
- Move your old ChineseSample directories from their present locations (\JBuilder35\samples\JBCL\Multilingual for the JBCL sample, and \JBuilder35\samples\dbSwing\Multilingual for the dbSwing sample) to the \JBuilder35\samples\OriginalChineseSample directory that you just created.
Installing the new files
- Extract the setup file you placed in your \JBuilder35 directory. This will install your new sample files automatically.
