Area: ide\component palette

Reference Number: 95 (Published: 03/16/98)
Status: Fixed
Date Reported: 04/29/97
Severity: Serious
Type: Crash

Problem:

D3 shipping build (5.53) generates an AV when
exiting if the component palette is hidden.

Area: ide\find in files

Reference Number: 75 (Published: 03/17/98)
Status: Fixed
Date Reported: 04/08/97
Severity: Commonly Encountered
Type: Minor Functionality Failure

Problem:

If there is no project open there is no way to reach
the Where radio group on the Find in Files dialog
because the Search all files in project radio button
is disabled.

This depends on your last search being a Search all
files in project.

Area: ide\form designer

Reference Number: 135 (Published: 03/16/98)
Status: Fixed
Date Reported: 06/07/97
Severity: Serious
Type: Basic Functionality Failure

Problem:

Editing a DFM as text corrupts string property.
Put a listbox on a form, go to items property and
paste this text: It must start in Col 1:
Case When ABCDedScheduleSupplemental = 'Y'
then 'A' else 'N' end (one space between else &
'N').
Now use alt F12 to switch to text mode, and return.
A quote will have been inserted between end and
the comma.

Area: ide\help contexts

Status: Fixed
Date Reported: 03/25/97

dialog gives a topic not found error when clicked.

Area: ide\package collection editor

Reference Number: 4 (Published: 03/16/98)
Status: Fixed
Date Reported: 02/11/97
Severity: Serious
Type: Basic Functionality Failure

Problem:

Package Collection Editor needs a Help menu, and
must call into Delphi's help file.

Area: ide\package collection editor

Reference Number: 60 (Published: 03/16/98)
Status: Fixed
Date Reported: 03/26/97
Severity: Serious
Type: Basic Functionality Failure

Problem:

Not all files specified in a file group of a package
collection get installed/deployed

Area: ide\package collection editor

Reference Number: 51 (Published: 03/17/98)
Status: Fixed
Date Reported: 03/24/97
Severity: Commonly Encountered
Type: Basic Functionality Failure

Problem:

The package collection editor won't allow a
package to be added that requires another
package that's not on the path, even though this
second package resides in the same directory as
the first.

The error message is also spurious. The assumption
is made that because the second package failed to
load, that it is not a package. The message reads
'Package PackageName.dpl is not a valid
package' with the error code 2 (i.e. file not found). It
should say that it can't find the other package

Loading the second package avoids the problem.

Area: ide\package collection editor

Reference Number: 72 (Published: 03/17/98)
Status: Fixed
Date Reported: 04/08/97
Severity: Commonly Encountered
Type: Minor Functionality Failure

Problem:

I did not see any mechanism to update the library
path automatically with the path specified in the
Package collection. The user has to do this
manually.

Area: ide\package manager

Reference Number: 62 (Published: 03/16/98)
Status: Fixed
Date Reported: 03/27/97
Severity: Commonly Encountered
Type: Crash

Problem:

Compiling a package causes an AV when there is a
form open that is not part of the current project but
has other unit dependencies.

Area: ide\web deployment

Reference Number: 153 (Published: 03/16/98)
Status: Fixed
Date Reported: 06/18/97
Severity: Serious
Type: Basic Functionality Failure

Problem:

Deploying a project built with packages and
compressing the package(s) in the project's CAB
file, the INF file does not contain any URL pointing
to the project's CAB file.

If you enter a URL & dir for the package(s) before
selecting "Compress in project CAB",
the correct settings will be used (regardless of what
you entered).

Area: ide\web deployment

Reference Number: 152 (Published: 03/17/98)
Status: Fixed
Date Reported: 06/18/97
Severity: Commonly Encountered
Type: Basic Functionality Failure

Problem:

When deploying a project built with packages with
additional files, the project's packages will always
be written to the INF file, even if you deselect
"Deploy required packages" in the deployment
options.

Area: ide\web deployment

Reference Number: 171 (Published: 03/17/98)
Status: Fixed
Date Reported: 07/17/97
Severity: Commonly Encountered
Type: Basic Functionality Failure

Problem:

[Authenticode warning]

The warning message that Authenticode 2.0 isn't
installed should only be displayed when you either
try to configure code signing (check the code sign
checkbox) or try to code sign a project (web
deploy).

If you don't do anything with code signing, the
warning shouldn't be displayed.

Area: ide\web deployment

Reference Number: 50 (Published: 03/18/98)
Status: Fixed
Date Reported: 03/21/97
Severity: Commonly Encountered
Type: Documentation Problem

Problem:

Width and height doesn't match the size of an
active form when HTML test container is web
deployed. IDE should create the correct width and
height whenever the activeform is resized.
