Borland Database Engine/SQL Links 5.01
Enhancements and Fixes

INFORMIX SECTION

Areas of concentration under: informix

Area: informix

Reference Number: 6
Status: Fixed
Sub Area: Database
Date Reported: 02/26/97
Severity: Commonly Encountered
Type: Basic Functionality Failure

Problem:

The Informix-SQL Links have a bug with the
SQLExplorer. If I connect as an owner of a table to
the DB, the Tablenames are not correct displayed
under Tables. There is still the Owner before the
table as Owner.Tablename. If I do select a such
table and select the Data-Tab on the right side, it
comes an error "Table < xxx > not found", where
the tablename is truncated to number of characters
of tablename minus the length of the ownername
plus the Point (.)

As a sample:

Under Tables is listed: hms.employees
If I click the Data-Tab. "Table < oyees > not
found" comes.

I think the bug is that the Owner is still displayed
under tables tought I am the owner of it. As an
example in ODBC the Owner is only displayed if I'm
NOT the owner.
