BDE/SQL DEVSUPPORT
Programming tips, additional help files, examples and non-Borland
products for users of BC++.
- The following are programs and examples using the BDE with Borland C++ 4.x and 5.x.
These examples can also be converted for use with most other C or C++ compilers.
Borland is not responsible for the support of these examples. The BDE32 SDK is only
"officially" programmable through Borland compilers. The following files are also on the
Borland ftp site.
32 Bit Examples
- BDE SDK snipit32 example source (Size 257,491 bytes)
Many references to Snipit32 are used by the BDE Developer support team.
Here is the Snipit32 executable.
- Microsoft Visual C++ 4.x compatible import library (Size 8,958 bytes)
This file contains a readme, header, and import library file that will allow VC4 users to create BDE32 applications.
Only other criteria over the BC++ compiler is that the BDE core DLLs MUST be in the path.
- Paradox table repair with source (Size 42,835 bytes)
This example includes Header File, LIB File, and OWL Example for creating a program that can automatically
repair Paradox table problems. Here is the executable. NOTE: you must
also download the correct TUtility DLL that matches your BDE Core DLLs. The TUtility DLLs and BDE Core DLLs are on the
Utilities, Programs and Updates page.
- Open a database with a different user than one specified in the alias (Size 13,629 bytes)
This example uses the pOptParams and pOptFldDesc parameters DbiOpenDatabase. Can also be used with ODBC connections.
32 Bit Non-Borland Products
- Jatco OIL(tm) object IDAPI library
An excellent framework with FREE trial version.
16 Bit Examples
- BDE SDK snipit16 example source (Size 238,373 bytes)
Many references to Snipit16 are used by the BDE Developer support team.
Here is the snipit executable.
- BDE In-Memory table example (Size 73,288 bytes)
This example demonstrates the use and capabilities of In-Memory tables.
- BDE C++ framework (Size 94,937 bytes)
Port of Database Framework to BDE.
- Framework example (Size 49,145 bytes)
An example using the C++ Framework.
- Paradox example 1 (Size 56,289 bytes)
This example opens a Paradox table, displays table description information,
and displays one record of table information.
- dBASE example 1 (Size 10,514 bytes)
This simple example opens a dBASE table, displays table description information.
- dBASE example 2 (Size 11,264 bytes)
This example opens a dBASE table, displays table description information, and
displays one record of table information.
