Using JBuilder for EJB Development
EJB 1.1 development is only supported on the all-Java versions of JBuilder.
Which version of JBuilder do you have?
- JBuilder 3.0.273.0 for Windows: This version of JBuilder does not
support EJB 1.1. It cannot be integrated with Inprise Application Server 4.0.
- JBuilder 3.0.351.0 Enterprise Edition for Solaris: This is the first
version of JBuilder which supports EJB 1.1. See the IAS
Open Tool 1 documentation on how to install Inprise Application Server
integration with this version.
- JBuilder 3.0 Foundation for Windows, Solaris, and Linux: This version
does not support EJB 1.1 development, but you can install IAS
Open Tool 1 to edit EJB deployment descriptors and deploy to IAS from
within JBuilder.
- JBuilder 3.5 Enterprise Edition for Windows, Solaris, and Linux:
This version supports EJB 1.1 development and comes with IAS 4.0.1 for easy
integration. Invoke "IAS Setup..." from the Tools menu to install
IAS integration.
