The tomcat container shipped with AppServer is essentially the same as Apache tomcat version 3.2.1.

The primary differences are that the tomcat home and webapps folders have been changed to conform to the installation footprint ofAppServer and some additional tomcat interceptors to provide compliance with Borland's implementation of J2EE features such as JNDI and EJB containers.

The webapp folder has been relocated to "$BAS_HOME$\var\servers\$APPSERVER$\wars\tomcat3", where $BAS_HOME$
is the installation root of Borland AppServer and $APPSERVER$ is the name of the appserver service specified by the administrator (normally at installation time.
